Supported source branch

The current project branch is 6.18.y, tracking the Linux 6.18 stable series.

Use the main repository for source and GitHub Releases for published builds:

The website does not mirror release metadata. The GitHub Releases page is the canonical download location.

Build from source

A normal source build validates and produces both parts of the runtime:

  1. the native tcpcc supervisor;
  2. the hosted Linux vmlinux.

cd linux-tcp-cc
git switch 6.18.y

bash ./scripts/validate-tcpcc-bootstrap.sh
sudo make install

The default installation places:

/usr/local/bin/tcpcc
/usr/local/libexec/tcpcc/vmlinux

Override the prefix or hosted image when required:

sudo make install PREFIX=/opt/tcpcc
sudo make install VMLINUX=/path/to/vmlinux

Run without installing

For development from a checkout:

make native-build
sudo ./tcpcc \
  --forward 203.0.113.10:443=127.0.0.1:8443 \
  --cc bbr

The source-tree wrapper uses the built native binary. Production operation has no Python dependency.

Host prerequisites

Installation alone is not sufficient. The runtime also needs TUN, firewall support, network authority, and forwarding. See Networking and TUN.
